Hello and welcome to the Ontario Electoral Reform Awareness blog. This site is run by a group of young, dedicated, Ontarians that want to help get the word out about the Electoral Reform referendum that Ontario is voting on in October when we go to the polls to elect our new Ontario government.
We are in favour of the MMP electoral reform put forward by the Ontario Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform, and are hoping through a grassroots campaign we will be able to create enough awareness to help convince the voting public to vote in favour of the reform, in order to surpass the 60% threshold to make sure the change from a first past the post to Mixed Member Proportional representation happens.
We hope to create buzz through a facebook campaign, the use of our own infotainment adds via YouTube, and through handing out information flyers at concerts, festivals, and events all around Ontario.
If you think electoral reform is important and want to get involved please contact James Windsor at thejames2003@hotmail.com
With your help we can fix our outdated electoral laws, and make Ontario a much better province to live in.
